The word „auction" derived from the Latin augeo which means "I increase" or "I augment". In “Lot 1, 2, 3” I reduce the auctioning to the basic action of bidding and auctions my own pieces. I perform three live auctions for three lots, one item in each auction. The items are three different DVD’s with the video documentation of each and every auction. The public is invited to bid openly against one another, with each subsequent bid higher than the previous bid. The auction ends when no participant is willing to bid further, the highest bidder will pay the price they submitted and will receive a signed certificate which confirms the purchase of the original work.
